We have upgraded to our dedicated server... and everything appears to be running great! We hope you enjoy your visit!
We are currently using 3 servers www.billybear4kids.com, www.cass.net/~rainiew [our orginal page started here], and www.puterdeco.com [mainly for our postcards]. Don't be alarmed if you see any of these urls, you are still visiting areas created by BillyBear4Kids.com. We also do a section for Worldvillage called KIDZ.
Making your computer fun for your Child(ren) so they want to learn more!
Child Internet Safety on our Site
We have done our best to help keep your child safe while on Billy Bear's Playground, we hope you will do your share by participating in this adventure with your child. Grab a chair and share the space with your child while they visit the world of the internet... play and learn together!|
You will find links to other sites on some of our pages. We check out sites prior to posting their link & randomly visit, but contents do change and we have no control over that. We update the holiday links about 1 month prior to each holiday.

You do not need to register to play at BillyBear4Kids.com. We do not have any mailings or newsletters.
While you are on BillyBear4Kids.com, you should feel comfortable using any of our forms. Please be assured that the information will not be used for commercial purposes or listed publicly. We use the activities on this site to make it more personal and fun.
No form should be filled out by any child without first getting permission by his or her parent or guardian. (This includes internet postcards) We encourage parents to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the internet.
Banner Advertisements can be found throughout this site. This helps to keep us on the internet and continue to create the items you see on our site.
Links... in different areas of our site, we have provided links to other sites we feel that children will enjoy visiting. We have looked over these sites prior to their listing, and have even taken the time to keep an eye on the site prior to listing... but we can not control what is not ours, and understand that contents may change. If you notice any of the links provided are unfit for children, please contact us with your concerns. Search engines are a great way to find the information you want... but so many show up lising sites that do not meet the needs of the child, and a few times have run across listings of adult sites... this is why we have taken the time to find child safe sites for you.
Links have also been included to the sites who created some of the scripts we use... it is our way of paying them to let us use them. It also keeps their copyright and license to use in tact. We respect and thank each of them for the use of their work.
Games... found on our Fun & Games page, Holiday pages, and periodically on other pages. These are scripts. No information is collected about you or your child. The person who created the script (if other than us) is posted and linked at the bottom of the pages. The scripts may have been created by others, but are run by us on our server, no one else has any control over, or even sees the games being played except for the one playing the game... hope you win lots!... but beware... those games that Billy Bear plays with you... he is very good on the computer! He might just win a few! There is no way possible that "Billy Bear" actually plays the games... it is all run through the script(s).... but don't tell the kids this... they seem to enjoy playing games with Billy Bear, even when he wins... okay, as long as HE doesn't win ALL the time.
Kids Speak Out When this form is filled out, we no longer receive your email address. The cgi script allows our visitors to post thier opinion and see it appear on the internet automatically. This is not an open forum where people can come in and type in anything they want... with Kids Speak Out, you will have to click on the answer of your choice. Some keep your IP address (this is a number telling the script where you dialed in from. It is not a phone number. You can see an example of our IP number on the top of this page. It is our site number, not our dial up number, but it still gives you an idea of what we are talking about.) this way votes are taken only once from that same number (the IP number is set to expire after a certain time so you can vote again.). None of this information is shared with anyone... you, or anyone else only see the stats (numbers) that are voted on.
Billy Bear's PostOffice ...you can send a postcard to a friend. You have to give your email address here so the person you are sending the postcard to, knows who sent them the card (We feel strongly that this is information a parent needs to know... who is sending your child email.). Addresses are stored in a data base for 5 days, then they and the postcards are deleted. None of this information is shared with any one. There are other postcard servers out there, but we decided to create our own to insure that the cards your child sees or sends are for CHILDREN, and to insure that their privacy and safety is met.
NOTE It is possible, during holiday time for example, so many postcards go out of here... many are created at the exact same time, possibly causing one postcard to over-write the other one. Our suggestion is to email your (and your child's) postcards prior to the week before a holiday. For the busier holidays we've created optional cards ... same cards, just different scripts to prevent overwriting of postcards.
Tell a Friend is used on many of our pages, it is set up so that you can easily send the url of a page of our site to a friend to let them know about that page. This requires an email address of the person sending the "Tell a Friend" and the email addresses of the person(s) you are sending to. We do not see the email addresses, nor is this informaion shared with anyone. The way this script is set up, the only ones who sees this address are you, the sender... and the person(s) you are sending to. 'There are other Tell a Friend servers, but we decided to create our own to insure that your privacy and safety is met. This script was created by another company, but is run on our server and controlled by us.
Personalized Stationery and Certificates uses a cookie to remember what you or your child has typed into it. When the page appears, this name is printed on it. We do not see this name, the only one seeing the name is you (the person who typed the name in). The cookie expires once you've left that page. You will find these print outs throughout the site. To see an example of what they are visit our Personaliazed Stationery main page and/or our main Certificate page.
Children (and adults) can email Billy Bear, Sarah Bear or Clarence the Monkey. Due to the guidelines and laws of COPPA and CARU we no longer do this. There is no way possibly that we could know if an email is from a child, or adult. We try our best to respond to each email we receive as time permits. If the answer is already on one of our pages, or in our help sections, we do not take the time to answer that question again. The help files were created so this way you can get the answer to your questions without having to wait for us to answer them via email. After the email is read, it is deleted. If there is a problem, then that email is stored until the matter has been resolved to our satisfaction.
Pictures submitted by YOU are drawings sent in my kids. Only basic informtion is posted with their picture, NOT the entire address. We are sorry, but due to the number of drawing we receive, we are not able to post all of the drawings.
